Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin is an innovative gin made bysteeping whole Shiraz grapes from the Yarra Valley in the distillery'shigh-strength Rare Dry Gin for eight weeks. The result is a gin with notes ofjuniper, spice and raspberries that goes well with tonic or soda.
Four Pillars Distillery is based in the Yarra Valley, where theirneighbours make some of the finest wines in the world. So in 2015 they combinedtheir infamous Rare Dry Gin with some of the best Shiraz grapes in Australia tocreate a Bloody Shiraz Gin for the first time.
The ABV is 37.8%, unlike Sloe Gin where the alcohol lessthan 30%. So it packs a punch and is ideal in a range of cocktails. The gin isunfiltered, so it will develop secondary fruit characters beyond two years, andis best consumed within two years of vintage. -
